Adoreum was founded by Rob as a high end/luxury global business development and marketing agency. Adoreum is distinguished by the unique ability to connect clients to their ultra-high net worth target audience.  Successfully sold in 2017.


Sapinda – London, Managing Partner, 2009-2013 

Sapinda (now Tennor) is a privately owned Principal Investment holding company focused on special situation investment opportunities across continental Europe, Asia, and Africa.   


VistaJet – London, deputy-Chairman, 2009-present

Fleeted with over 150 Bombardier aircraft and operating globally, VistaJet is the second largest private jet fleet in the world.    


Marquis Jet Europe – London, CEO, and founder, 2001 – 2008 

The Marquis Jet Card launched a prepaid flight hours package on NetJet’s fleet to the European market and successfully sold the business to NetJets in 2004, (a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway), where he then served as Vice Chairman of NetJets Europe.


Sportal – London, CEO, and founder, 1998-2001

Sportal was one of the leading companies in the dotcom boom, acquiring rights to host official websites of Europe’s leading football clubs (including Real Madrid, Juventus, AC Milan and Bayer Munich as well as several other sports). In 2000 Sportal was named the Sunday Times #1 European web company. A $300mill sale coincided with the internet crash and the deal collapsed. 


ENIC plc – London, Executive Director, 1997-1998 

ENIC is focused on the sports and media sectors and acquired Vicenza Calcio from Rob Hersov.


Richemont – London and Milan, Executive Director, 1993-1998

Under Rob’s leadership Richemont purchased 50% of NetHold in Holland and control of Telepiu in Italy where Rob was Chief Executive Officer (1995-1997).  He was also appointed Board Director at Mediaset – Milan, Italy. Rob was instrumental in selling the whole NetHold/Telepiu Group to Canal Plus in 1997.

Rob is a regular public speaker, panellist, moderator, podcaster and interviewer/interviewee. He has acted in numerous “photo comics” (1980-1982) and was the voice of the helicopter pilot in Wes Anderson’s “Fantastic Mr. Fox”. He has a podcast show “S-Group/The Chief is Here” and has hosted many celebrities including: Lord Jim O’Neill, Bob Diamond, Piers Morgan, Tony Blair, Jeremy Clarkson, Shane Warne, and President Paul Kagame. He also founded and hosts “The Lion Cage”. 


Rob represented Western Province Team Handball 1982, and Captained SADF Team Handball 1983-1984. Rob is a competitive amateur golfer (3 holes-in-one, Queenwood Club Champion Salva 2014, winner of numerous Pro-Am tournaments) and is an open water and cold-water swimmer. 


Rob bought Cape Winelands Airport (ex-Fisantekraal), was the first non-Italian to buy and own (1994-1996) a top football team in Italy, Vicenza Calcio (winner of Coppa Italia 1994), has written a TV series “King of the Monkeys” which he is in the process of producing, and writes poetry and sings in the shower. His nickname is “The Chief”.
